Chandrashekhar Chore's tenure as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Municipal Commissioner's Office (MCO) has ended and was not extended beyond December 31. This decision followed opposition from Assistant and Deputy Municipal Commissioners who objected to an OSD bypassing cadre hierarchy. Prashant Gaikwad, DMC (Finance), has been given additional charge of the post. Senior officials had formally submitted objections in November, stating their concern was with the process, not Chore personally.
