Pune Metro Line 3 Nears Completion; New Hinjawadi-Khadakwasla Route Proposed

The Pune Metro Line 3 from Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar is 94% complete, with 13 of 23 stations expected to be operational by the end of April. While the full 23.3 km stretch was initially planned for a single launch, authorities are considering phased openings to address commuter needs. Additionally, a new 25-km metro route connecting Hinjawadi to Khadakwasla is proposed to ease traffic congestion. Further metro extensions and airport connectivity plans are also underway.
