The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) plans to construct dedicated 'Mahila Barracks' at 32 border posts along the India-China Line of Actual Control (LAC). These facilities will accommodate approximately 30 women personnel each, including dormitories, officer quarters, dining areas, and modern amenities, designed for harsh weather conditions. This initiative supports the ITBP's strategy to deploy women personnel at forward locations and establish all-women border outposts, increasing female representation in border guarding.
