Justice Sushrut Dharmadhikari Recommended as Next Chief Justice of Madras High Court

Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, currently a judge at the Kerala High Court, has been recommended by the Supreme Court collegium to become the next Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, succeeding Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava upon his retirement on March 5, 2026. Justice Dharmadhikari, born in Raipur in 1966, has extensive legal experience including serving as standing counsel for central institutions and handling significant cases such as the Bhopal Gas tragedy and recent appeals related to the film 'The Kerala Story 2.'
