The Odisha government will offer free bus travel for school students under the Mukhyamantri Bus Seva (MBS) scheme, replacing the previous 50% fare concession. This initiative aims to improve school access and reduce student dropouts. Students can avail free travel by showing a valid ID or wearing their uniform. The decision, made in August, also directs the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation to adjust routes and timings to better serve schools.
