The memo was based on a complaint from the Sarovaram Prakrithi Samrakshana Samithi. However, the convention centre management obtained the required PPR license, rendering the stop memo void. Corporation officials stated the license was issued as the building had other necessary clearances, despite the Samithi's claims of unauthorized construction on wetland fill.
