The CPI(M) has signaled an early start to the LDF's 2026 Assembly election campaign, aiming to expose the Congress and BJP's focus on identity politics over livelihood and development. State secretary M.V. Govindan announced plans for protests against the Centre's new law impacting the MGNREG scheme and a door-to-door campaign highlighting Kerala's development and the opposition's alleged simplistic solutions. The LDF will also protest the Centre's fiscal policies affecting the state.
