
Aditya Sahu, a Rajya Sabha MP and former working president of the Jharkhand BJP, was unanimously appointed as the new state party president, replacing Babulal Marandi, who remains Leader of Opposition. The nomination process, overseen by Union Minister Jual Oram, saw Sahu as the sole candidate. Sahu, with two decades in the party and grassroots experience, pledged to strengthen the BJP and protect tribal rights amid concerns over governance in the state. Alongside, 21 leaders were elected to the BJP national council from Jharkhand.
