
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed officials to expedite the release of pending funds for the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, particularly in tribal areas. During a review of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Sukhu emphasized clearing payments for eligible beneficiaries in Pangi, Lahaul-Spiti, Dodra Kwar, and Kupvi. The state currently provides social security pensions to over 8.4 lakh beneficiaries across various categories and has approved nearly one lakh new pension cases in the last three years.
