Union Minister Suresh Gopi Credits Meeting with PM Modi for Vizhinjam Port Project

Union Minister Suresh Gopi stated that the Vizhinjam International Seaport project materialised after he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March 2014 and requested the project be allotted to Kerala. He noted earlier attempts to start the port faced political challenges between Kerala's LDF and UDF. Gopi also addressed misinterpretations of his remarks on caste-based appointments and expressed his wish to serve as chairman of the Guruvayoor Devaswom Board.
