Over 350 villagers from more than a dozen nearby villages convened a mahapanchayat in Gurugram to protest the construction of a church on private land in Tikli village. Organizers, including VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders, claim the church will disrupt communal harmony and that there is no Christian population in the area. Police confirmed the property owner has legal permissions, including a CLU certificate, and stated the construction is legally sound. Villagers claim they persuaded the owner to halt construction, and a delegation plans to meet the deputy commissioner.
