Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that eligible poor families will begin receiving keys to their flats in the new year. The government is developing community facilities in existing EWS residential colonies, aiming to provide education, healthcare, sanitation, water, green spaces, and livelihood support. The Savda Ghevra colony, built on 37.81 acres, has 6,476 vacant flats constructed between 2012-2020, with previous governments showing little interest in their allotment. The colony features a 100% sewerage network.
