The Thane Municipal Corporation has activated 330 CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and security during the upcoming 2026 elections. These cameras will monitor polling activities, strong rooms, sensitive locations, and material distribution points. Additional Commissioner Prashant Rode is overseeing the process, with Deputy Commissioner Manish Joshi appointed as the nodal officer for CCTV arrangements. Cameras are strategically placed across various ward offices and polling stations, with more to be installed as needed.
