Sanjeev Khirwar Appointed Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Delhi

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Sanjeev Khirwar, a 1994-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, as the new Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The appointment was officially communicated to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor's office and is effective immediately until further orders. Khirwar has held various administrative roles, including Principal Secretary and Divisional Commissioner in Delhi, and was previously transferred to Ladakh following a controversy in 2022 involving his use of a government stadium.
