Kerala's Special Investigation Team (SIT) has questioned former Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran and former Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president P. Prasanth in connection with the Sabarimala gold theft case. Surendran, who was minister when the alleged misappropriation occurred in 2019, stated the government's role in TDB administration is limited to policy oversight, asserting the board's autonomy. The SIT has arrested 10 people, including three CPI(M) leaders, in the ongoing investigation.
