Delhi Extends Free Bus Travel to Transgender Passengers, Continues Pink Ticket Scheme for Women

The Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has approved free bus travel for transgender passengers on Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and cluster buses, extending the existing scheme for women. This initiative aims to promote social inclusion and ease urban mobility. Meanwhile, free travel for women using pink tickets will continue for three more months during a gradual transition to the Pink Saheli smart card system, with 50 centres established for card issuance across the city.
