Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced plans to make Hyderabad plastic-free and replace diesel buses with electric vehicles within the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) limits. He instructed Zonal Commissioners of GHMC to prepare a five-year action plan focusing on waste management, sanitation drives, pothole and garbage clearance, and protecting lakes and drainages from encroachments. Measures to combat mosquito menace and infectious diseases were also directed, alongside drainage system desilting.
