Himachal Pradesh Launches Helicopter Services from Shimla to Kullu, Kinnaur, and Chandigarh

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated helicopter services from Shimla's Sanjauli Heliport, connecting Shimla with Kullu, Reckong Peo (Kinnaur), and Chandigarh. Operated under the central UDAN scheme with Heritage Aviation, the services aim to boost tourism, improve regional connectivity, and assist in medical emergencies. Fares range from Rs 3,169 to Rs 4,000. The heliport, completed by the current government after delays and regulatory clearances, is part of broader plans to develop heliports across the state to enhance air travel and economic growth.
