Delhi Government Launches ₹64 Crore Nangloi-Najafgarh Road and Drainage Upgrade Project

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena laid the foundation stone for a ₹64.04 crore project to upgrade the Nangloi-Najafgarh road and drainage system in West Delhi. The initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve drainage, and prevent waterlogging by constructing new stormwater drains, upgrading existing ones, and reconstructing the road with safety features. Officials noted previous neglect delayed progress, and the project is part of broader efforts to modernize Delhi's infrastructure and sewage treatment to protect the Yamuna River.
