Rajasthan's Rajsamand district collector, Arun Kumar Hasija, has pledged to forgo his salary until pending beneficiary verifications for key welfare schemes—National Food Security Act, Palanhar Yojana, and social security pensions—are completed. This move aims to motivate officials to expedite enrollment and ensure timely delivery of benefits to around 30,000 poor residents. Following the pledge, 88% of social security pension beneficiaries were verified within 48 hours, with 22,752 cases still pending.
