Amit Shah Visits Jammu and Kashmir for Security Review and Development Projects

Union Home Minister Amit Shah began a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on February 5, focusing on security reviews, border inspections, and inaugurating developmental projects. His itinerary includes meetings with political leaders, security officials, and visits to the International Border in Kathua district. Ahead of the visit, security forces intensified operations, including surprise searches and counter-terror actions, amid a reported threat from a group linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba targeting Kashmiri Pandits. Officials are assessing the threat's authenticity while emphasizing coordination among security agencies.
