Mukesh Singh, a 1996-batch IPS officer from the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) for Ladakh. He replaces S.D. Singh Jamwal, a 1995-batch IPS officer, who has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh. Singh previously served in the Jammu and Kashmir police and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
