
The Election Commission of India (ECI) rejected the Trinamool Congress' (TMC) request to allow party agents at draft voter list hearing sessions in West Bengal. The ECI cited practical difficulties, stating that accommodating agents from all registered parties would lead to overcrowding and hinder the hearing process. The TMC, however, claims the ECI deliberately denied their plea, suggesting it favors other parties, particularly the BJP.
