EVM and VVPAT Demonstration Centres Established Across Tamil Nadu Ahead of Assembly Elections

Ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, multiple districts including Virudhunagar, Thoothukudi, Krishnagiri, and Chennai have established Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) demonstration centres. These centres, set up under Election Commission guidelines, offer live demonstrations and mock voting to educate voters on the machines' operation. Mobile units will also tour constituencies from January 25 to enhance awareness. Officials encourage voters to engage with these initiatives to understand the voting process before the election schedule is announced.
