The University Grants Commission (UGC) is reviewing several schemes, including the non-NET fellowship and Centres for the Study of Social Inclusion, prior to the establishment of the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhisthan (VBSA). The VBSA is intended to replace the UGC, AICTE, and NCTE as the apex regulatory body for higher education. This review aims to identify any shortcomings in existing programs before they are transferred to the new VBSA structure.
