
On the 36th anniversary of the Kashmiri Pandit exodus, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah reiterated that displaced Pandits are welcome to return to their homes in the Kashmir Valley. However, he expressed skepticism about their permanent resettlement, noting many have established lives elsewhere with families settled in education and employment. While some Pandits remain in the Valley, community groups continue to demand dignified return, rehabilitation, and a separate homeland within Kashmir.
