
The Himachal Pradesh government and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) signed three MoUs to enhance the state's dairy sector. These agreements include forming the Kangra Milk Union covering four districts, establishing two milk processing plants and two chilling centers with 20,000 liters per day capacity each, and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software in Milkfed. A modern plant with 1.5 lakh liters daily capacity is being built in Dhagwar, Kangra, at Rs 250 crore, with potential expansion. The ERP system aims to digitize operations, improve transparency, and ensure timely payments to farmers.
