The Delhi government is undertaking repairs on over 6,000 vacant Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats in Savda Ghevra, northwest Delhi, with an initial Rs 27.5 crore allocated for 2,500 units. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that allotment of these flats, built between 2012 and 2020 but remaining uninhabitable due to neglect, could begin next year. This initiative aims to address the severe demand for low-cost housing in the capital.
