Delhi HC Orders AIIMS Medical Board to Examine Convict Sengar's Health Claims

The Delhi High Court has directed AIIMS to form a medical board to examine Jaideep Singh Sengar, convicted in the Unnao custodial death case, who seeks suspension of his 10-year sentence on medical grounds citing Stage IV oral cancer. The board is tasked with assessing his health, the cancer claim, and whether adequate treatment can be provided in jail or requires specialized care at AIIMS. The CBI and victim's counsel have challenged the authenticity of some medical documents. The court will hear the matter after the medical report is submitted.
