India successfully conducted the maiden flight test of its 120-km range Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR) in Chandipur, Odisha. The rocket demonstrated its planned maneuvers and hit the target with "textbook precision." This development, designed by DRDO labs, enhances the Indian Army's long-range strike capabilities and can be launched from existing Pinaka launchers. The test coincided with the Defence Acquisition Council's approval of significant defense procurement proposals.
