Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) has mandated that all commercial buildings, including educational institutions and industrial units, must obtain a fire safety No Objection Certificate (NOC) within 30 days. Failure to comply will result in penalties up to ₹50,000, with persistent violators facing premise sealing. The MC emphasized adherence to the National Building Code and the Punjab Fire and Emergency Service Act, 2024, for public safety.
