The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has removed Amit Palekar as the president of its Goa state unit, effective immediately. This decision follows the party's poor performance in the recent zilla panchayat polls, where AAP secured only one seat. Palekar had previously suggested that an alliance with other opposition parties was necessary to challenge the BJP. Shrikrishna Parab will serve as interim president until further notice.
