Maharashtra Plans IoT and AI-Based System to Monitor Air Pollution Sources

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced plans to implement a dynamic air pollution monitoring system in Mumbai using Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. The system aims to track all pollution sources, including government, private, and infrastructure projects, to improve oversight. Concerns about rising pollution in Mumbai's Kherwadi area were raised by legislator Anil Parab, while Environment Minister Pankaja Munde highlighted inconsistencies in Air Quality Index data and urged reliance on official sources.
