Kerala CM Inaugurates Longest Backwater Bridge Connecting Perumbalam Island

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Perumbalam Bridge, the state's longest backwater bridge, connecting Perumbalam Island to the mainland in Alappuzha district. This project, completed since the 2016-17 budget at a cost of Rs 100 crore, ends decades of travel difficulties for island residents who previously relied on water transport.
