A political dispute has emerged in Karnataka over the demolition of unauthorized constructions in Bengaluru, following intervention by Congress general secretary KC Venugopal. The BJP, led by R Ashoka, accused the Congress high command of interfering in state administration and undermining federalism, questioning Venugopal's authority and calling it a 'remote-control government.' Venugopal stated he conveyed the party leadership's concern for a more sensitive approach to the demolitions, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar assuring him of engagement with affected families and rehabilitation efforts.
