The Delhi High Court has sought the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) response to a petition by Rabri Devi challenging the framing of charges against her in the IRCTC scam case. The trial court had framed charges on October 13, 2025, against Rabri Devi, her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav, son Tejashwi Yadav, and others for alleged cheating, criminal conspiracy, and corruption. Rabri Devi's petition argues that the court presumed her involvement without material evidence, noting neither she nor her family participated in the tender process related to BNR Hotels in Ranchi and Puri. The CBI alleges a conspiracy from 2004 to 2014 involving the transfer and leasing of these hotels through IRCTC to a private company. The court has scheduled the hearing for January 19, 2026, alongside similar petitions by her family members.
