A Jalandhar man, Jagdeep Singh, has confirmed the deaths of 10 Indian nationals and the disappearance of four others who were recruited into the Russian army. Singh visited Russia twice in search of his missing brother, Mandeep, and gathered official documents from the Russian army confirming the fatalities. The deceased, including three from Punjab, had reportedly been lured by job offers abroad. Indian authorities have previously urged Russia to end the recruitment of its citizens and cautioned nationals against joining the Russian military due to inherent risks.
