Punjab Police has launched 'Vision 2026,' an 800 crore initiative to enhance efficiency and responsiveness. Key upgrades include a new Dial 112 control room in Mohali, augmented vehicle fleet, and improved district control rooms, aiming to reduce emergency response time from 12-13 minutes to 7-8 minutes. The vision also incorporates advanced border security measures, such as CCTV cameras along the international border and expansion of the Anti-Drone System, to strengthen policing capabilities.
