
AIADMK released its second set of poll promises ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, including raising monthly social security pensions from Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,000 for seniors, widows, differently-abled persons, and transgenders. The party pledged full waiver of education loans, three free LPG cylinders annually for ration card holders, and compensation for Jallikattu participants—Rs 10 lakh for deaths and Rs 2 lakh for injuries. Interest-free loans for minority women and loan waivers for differently-abled borrowers were also promised, alongside restoring manual Jallikattu registration and subsidies for events.
