Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) protested the poor condition of the Rajapalayam-Tenkasi Highway in Seithur, wearing bandages to symbolize injuries from potholes. They highlighted the danger to road users, particularly on a two-kilometer stretch in Seithur, and alleged neglect by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) during ongoing widening work. The party stated that the road's condition has worsened, especially after recent rains, making it hazardous for all vehicles.
