Boom Barrier Falls at Parliament Gate Due to Technical Glitch, Brief Security Alert

A boom barrier at a Parliament gate near Vijay Chowk fell due to a technical glitch, possibly caused by strong wind or a failure to read a vehicle's entry sticker, triggering a brief security alarm on Monday. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) quickly responded, confirming no security threat. Normal vehicle movement resumed after the incident. CISF has guarded the Parliament since May 2024, deploying around 3,300 personnel following a December 2023 security breach.
