Himachal Pradesh is actively seeking to attract defense MSMEs and manufacturing, with nearly two dozen defense equipment units already operating in Solan, Una, and Sirmour districts. An upcoming ammunition plant in Solan will occupy 800 acres. The state has also signed MoUs for drone production for public safety, law enforcement, and agriculture, aiming to boost its MSME sector's participation in the defense supply chain.
