
The 109th meeting of the Network Planning Group (NPG) at the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade reviewed key infrastructure projects under the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. Evaluations included two rail projects, one metro project, and one airport project, focusing on integrated multimodal connectivity and last-mile access. Notably, the Railways Ministry proposed a 210.75 km third railway line between Jalandhar Cantt and Jammu Tawi, spanning Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu Kashmir, aimed at enhancing strategic mobility, trade, and socio-economic benefits.
