Shiv Sena MP Proposes Naming New Thane-Mulund Railway Station After Anand Dighe

Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske has requested naming the new railway station between Thane and Mulund in Maharashtra as 'Dharmveer Anand Dighe Station,' honoring the late party leader Anand Dighe. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw approved ₹250 crore for its construction, with the proposal sent to the Railway Board. Mhaske highlighted the need to decongest Thane station and urged approval of a ₹949 crore upgrade under the Amrut Bharat Station scheme. He also called for improved train services, infrastructure enhancements, and restoration of senior citizen concessions.
