A political dispute has emerged in Kerala over the operation of 113 Smart City electric buses. Thiruvananthapuram Mayor VV Rajesh (BJP) accuses KSRTC of violating the agreement by deploying buses outside city limits and disrupting local services. Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar (LDF) counters that the state funds over 60% of the project, KSRTC manages operations, and route rationalization is necessary for financial viability across the state.
