Noida and Greater Noida are set to introduce over 500 electric buses in a phased rollout starting July-August. The project, managed by a government-level Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), aims to provide buses at 10-minute intervals on designated routes. Initially, 100 buses will be deployed, with plans for 257 in Noida, 196 in Greater Noida, and 52 along the Yamuna Expressway. Previous contracts with two companies were terminated, leading to the formation of the SPV.
