The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) plans to repair over 1,000 roads, totaling approximately 1,503 km, by 2026-27 to combat dust pollution. This initiative, estimated at Rs 2,000 crore, aligns with the Delhi government's air quality strategy, as dust from dilapidated roads significantly contributes to PM 2.5 levels. South Zone and Outer Delhi areas like Narela and Najafgarh are identified as needing the most extensive repairs.
