Twenty-two BJP candidates from the recent Amravati Municipal Corporation polls have written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alleging that former MP Navneet Rana campaigned against BJP nominees by promoting her husband Ravi Rana's Yuva Swabhiman Party candidates. The BJP won 25 of 87 seats, down from 45 previously, while the Yuva Swabhiman Party increased its seats to 15. The complainants, including two winners and 20 losers, claim their defeat resulted from Navneet Rana's actions and have demanded her expulsion. Navneet Rana's response was not available.
