The NDA alliance in Bihar secured a significant victory in the 2025 assembly elections, winning 225 out of 243 constituencies, surpassing their goal of 200 seats. This marks the second time the alliance has crossed the 200-seat threshold, following their 2010 success. The BJP emerged as the largest party with 89 seats, followed by JD(U) with 85. This win defied the incumbency of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 20-year rule and demonstrated rare unity among the five-party alliance despite earlier seat-sharing negotiations.
