The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former MLA P.V. Anvar for interrogation on December 31 in connection with an alleged misappropriation of Rs 7.5 crore in loans from the Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC). The ED is investigating loans granted to firms associated with Anvar, which allegedly led to a non-performing asset of approximately Rs 22.3 crore. The agency has identified 15 bank accounts allegedly used for suspicious transactions and Anvar has admitted to being the beneficial owner of one of the companies.
